Step 1: Prepare the Wig

  • Clip all your hairs back from the edges of the Wig so that they may not get caught while affixing the Wig to your head
  • Attach the Wig with adhesive glue gently. Trim the lace as close to the hairline as possible. Make sure that the hairline does not get damaged.

Step 2: Prepare any Head Hair

  • You are supposed to braid your natural hair or set flat against the scalp. Make sure that all the natural hair strands are pulled back from the hairline, though, some women enjoy laying their soft –curl –large natural hair against their head

Step 3: Prepare the Skin

  • Use an alcohol solution on a cotton swab and gently wipe any oil from the hairline. This will help to ensure a secure attachment of the Wig to the skin.
  • It is better to use scalp protector than to adhesive glue. Use a flesh –colored Wig cap to protect the natural hair.
  • Adgust the cap at the place properly and apply adhesive over the cap and on to the skin to cover all your natural hair

Step 4: Apply Adhesive

  • While using adhesive glue, apply a thin layer to the entire hairline using a small makeup brush or cosmetic stick. If you use soft bond adhesive, don’t apply the wig immediately. Wait until the glue gets tacky.
  • While using hard bond adhesive, the wig can be applied immediately, as this type of glue bonds immediately.
  • To use adhesive tape –cut the double-sided tape to the desired length  so that the entire hairline would be covered. Attach one side to the hairline of the skin and press gently.

Step 5: Attach the Wig

  • To attach a Wig with glue –attach the Wig at the hairline in the front middle of the forehead. And keep on pressing softly the edge of the Wig down until it attached around the entire hairline.
  • In case there is glue after line, wipe out with a cosmetic stick or Q –Tip.
  • To attach the Wig with adhesive tape –place the Wig on the head and line up the hairline edges. Start from the center of the forehead to the back of the nape and attach the wig, one strip at a time

Step 6: Style as Desired

  • Gently brush and style the wig to achieve the desired look, only once the adhesive has had time to set. Some wigs can take several minutes before a strong adhesive bond between wig and skin is achieved.
  • To make Synthetic Wig look natural requires the understanding of how to style, maintain and carry it with different looks. Lace Wigs need utmost care as they are completely made on a lace base, either French lace or fine Swiss lace.
  • To make lace wig look natural, you should visit a hairstylist who specializes in wigs. It is how you wear that makes all the difference.

Tips

  • The key to natural looking wig is how best you have applied it in accordance with your looks.
  • Wash your wig regularly; making sure the wig remains fresh, shiny and healthy as ever.
  • The whole process mentioned above must be carried out softly with utmost care.
